We are pleased to confirm that Progress Surf Academy, Gower has recently been fully approved by the city and county of Swansea. Progress Surf Academy, Gower will now appear on the 'City and County's Approved list of Outdoor Providers'.
Although Progress Surf Academy has been a provider of outdoor education to council run groups since it was established in 2003, this approval means that any city and county group can now easily take advantage of our services without the need of excess paper work.
The approval shows that the city & county of Swansea has complete confidence in us to provide safe/fun surfing in Swansea and Gower. Lessons are provided seven days a week to youth clubs, schools/colleges, other departments of the city and the general public.
Surfing is very much a growing sport in Swansea and Gower. Although surfing has a long history here on Gower, it took an outsider to take the surf school scene to a professional level.
Now the locals have started to take surfing development seriously and this partnership with the city and county of Swansea will go a long way to providing a fully intergrated surfing programme to meet Swansea's growing demand.
Progress are absolutely delighted to recieve this recognision. We welcome the input and the high standards that Swansea demands. We look forward now, to developing an even closer relationship with the council and all of it's departments.
As far as our pricing goes, we offer drastically reduced rate surfing lessons and hire to any city and county group.
We offer 20% discount to any city and county employee and their family.
We also offer passport to leisure discounts on our lessons
LEA and youth groups go for half price.
We run after school classes and half term crash courses, these lessons are offered as cheeply as £10 per session.
This initiative forms part of our youth inclusion and youth development plan.
